New Comments About LDOT Rules 2013- We have received a few comments on our rules and although we cannot change our rules mid season...I would like to clarify a few things to you 10 guys that lead our league...please let your teammates know... Pitching: Pitching limits; 3 innings for ages 55-60, 4 innings 60-70; unlimited after age 70. Pitchers can leave and re-enter to pitch if they have not reached their max limit. 1 pitch constitutes an inning pitched. Runners: If a runner advances after a team has used their 2 advances, he is immediately out after touching the next base, but CAN return to his original base if he did NOT touch the next base... (now it gets a bit different but needs to be addressed) NO OTHER RUNNER can advance while the defensive team is trying to tag out the offender...even if the offending runner gets in a rundown or a ball is thrown away during the play...
THIS RULE ONLY APPLIES after the 2 advances are used If a team has used 1 advance, and 2 players advance at the same time and both touch the next base, the lead runner is safe (and run scores if at home) and the latter runner is OUT... Players are not limited to how many times they can pinch run... Lets limit each player to no more than 2 times per game...self regulated please. We did not address this in our rules prior to this season. But may be considering a change in the next years rules.
